Statement of apology and retraction from Mr Graham Hewitt regarding allegations made at the SNU AGM 2025.
The Spiritualists’ National Union have received the following statement of apology and retraction from Mr Graham Hewitt, regarding comments he made at our Annual General Meeting on Saturday 26th September 2025. The Union hold the signed, original copy of Mr Hewitt’s retraction on file, and are sharing it below to inform and update members on this important point of fact:
“ANNEX A
During the Annual General Meeting of the Spiritualists’ National Union (SNU) which was held on 26 September 2025, I made a number of allegations of misconduct regarding Minister Jackie Wright and the SNU. This included an allegation that Minister Wright had slapped and/or assaulted a member of staff, and that the SNU had paid £40,000 to settle the claims made by the victim of that assault.
I now accept that this allegation is untrue, and that there is simply no basis for the allegation.
I wish to unreservedly apologise to Minister Wright and to the SNU and to unreservedly retraction the allegation which I made.
