In 2023, the SNU launched the ‘JJ Morse Award’, to recognise excellent at District Council Level.
Awarded every year on the SNU’s birthday (18th October), the award, named after the great Spiritualist pioneer, recognises achievement in helping churches and promoting the religion of Spiritalism in a District.

The North Yorkshire District Council!
Minister Jackie Wright, President of The Spiritualists’ National Union, said of the award going to North Yorkshire:
“It is a great honour to present this award to North Yorkshire DC.
“The District received the most votes, and it’s a testimony to the work that the commitee are doing in their DC, visiting and supporting their churches and centres.
“The work that they are doing is amazing. Thank you North Yorkshire for all of your work on behalf of SNU Spiritualism.”
