Statement from Minister Jackie Wright – Tuesday 9th June 2026.
“Over recent months, I have faced allegations against me. Those allegations have been the subject of an independent investigation, supported by an external legal review. The investigation findings have been Considered by a subcommittee which have concluded that no further investigation and no further action taken against me.
I welcome that outcome.
Throughout my time as President, I have championed transparency, accountability, and high standards of conduct. Those principles apply to everyone, including me. While the process has been difficult for both myself and those close to me, I respected the need for the matter to be properly examined and for the evidence to be assessed independently.
The investigation has now done exactly that.
I would like to thank those who placed their trust in due process rather than speculation, and those who continued to support the values of fairness, dignity, and respect throughout this period.
My focus has always been on serving our religion and helping to build a stronger future for Spiritualism. Together, we have worked to modernise our organisation, strengthen governance, support our churches, invest in education, and rebuild confidence across our movement. That work has always been bigger than any individual and remains my priority today.
This experience has only strengthened my determination to continue leading with honesty, resilience, and openness. I remain committed to the renewal of our movement, to supporting our members and churches, and to ensuring that the Spiritualists’ National Union continues to move forward with confidence and purpose.
The matter has now been fully investigated and concluded. I consider it closed and will be making no further comment.
Finally, I would encourage the community to resist the temptation for online speculation and the posting of damaging and hurtful posts on public platforms. The publishing of serious allegations and intimidating content on the Spiritualist National Union Facebook page and online forums are not appropriate channels to report any legitimate concerns. Rather, these should be raised to Head Office, at the AGM, or through the Union’s complaints procedure.
My attention now returns to the work that matters most: serving our religion, supporting our communities, and building a positive future for Spiritualism.”
